Assistant Store Manager
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the day-to-day management of the store and the team. He/she works closely with the Store Manager on operational management and performance optimization (sales volume, profitability, customer portfolio).
Main responsibilities:
- Monitor and participate in sales practices in accordance with company policy and ensure that the team ensures excellent customer service (pre-sales, sales, after-sales)
- Have a good knowledge of the products and prices;
- Analyze the Sales Team objectives assigned by the Store Manager and follow up on their achievement;
- Make the store look exemplary and ask about any (technical) maintenance that may be necessary;
- Ensure the perfect visual image of the store and display cases by adhering to Visual Merchandiser guidelines;
- Provide training programs for staff to improve product knowledge, customer service, visual merchandising, sales techniques, and stock management;
- Assist the Store Manager with the daily morning briefings by increasing team enthusiasm, motivation, and engagement;
- Manage all incidents in the workplace in a fast and professional manner, working with Store Manager involves disciplinary action, if necessary;
- Ensure that all guidelines are followed in the store (including health, safety, loss prevention, personnel policy, cash management, etc.);
- Supervise the organisation of stocks and ensure accessibility of the various items;
- Supervise the receipt of the goods, the planning of deliveries as well as the management of the stock and ensure that it is always set up effectively and relevant;
- Support the Store Manager in the division of administrative responsibilities and follow them up (sales reports, cash register, delivery reports, suppliers, HR administration, etc.) and supervise the procedures and controls related to the money transfer operations.
Requirements:
- +3 years of experience gained in a managerial role
- Open-minded, people-oriented, creative
- Commercial mindset, empathy, excellent interpersonal skills
- Fashion lover and trend knowledgeable
