Sales Director Germany
We are working with one of the leading software houses who specialise within the EV sector. Their SAAS solution is an award winning platform that provides live energy management data as well as vehicle to grid management. Due to growth and winning several key business partnerships, they are seeking a Sales Director to be based in Germany.
As the successful candidate you will be striving to grow the client base, and create new partnerships which will be key in growing the business presence in Europe. You will report directly to the head of sales, and together you will create key business relationships and company strategies for the development and growth of their European business.
You will be responsible for the following:
Establish new business opportunities with targeted accounts through prospecting, networking, qualifying, and closing techniques;
Establish buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for new clients;
Understand customer long-term strategic business needs and increase level of contact within customer’s organization to allow for selling of new opportunities;
Generate proposals and quotes;
Conduct presentations and opportunity assessments for new clients;
Meet targeted personal New Bookings goals as determined by leadership;
Participates in the forecasting process and is accountable to the accuracy of the new booking timing;
Ensures a seamless transition of customer responsibility to the Client Manager following a successful sales process.
To be considered for the position you will have the following background:
Prior experience in selling SAAS solutions to medium to large businesses;
Knowledge of the Energy and utility sector;
Fluent in German and English;
Flexibility to travel (pending COVID restrictions);
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or economics from an accredited institution required;
Must possess strong financial and business acumen with the ability to identify overall business value resulting from a new business partnership;
Demonstrated effective negotiation and closing techniques;
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with prospective and existing customers;
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation skills;
