As a Research Analyst you will have a key role in analysing the share of the proceeds of Green/Sustainability Bonds used for environmentally sustainable economic activities. Your role will include supporting our state-of-the-art Green, Social and Sustainability (GSS) bond capabilities. You will be responsible for the ongoing analysis of GSS bonds and the development of ESG portfolio analytical tools, working with a team of ESG professionals delivering detailed, portfolio focused solutions to a wide range of clients. All applicants should have experience in sustainable finance with a background in finance, economics or management, and a strong degree of flexibility given the demanding nature of this role.
Leverage and continuously improve our advanced model to assess bonds’ alignment to the most recent EU Taxonomy Technical Screening Criteria;
Analyse bond specific information in order to rate GSS bonds and provide related Sustainability KPIs, maintaining the GSS proprietary database;
Identify key trends in the sustainable debt market and develop further the GSS database, including but not limited expanding ratings and KPIs, and provide clear extra financial information to prospective and existing clients;
Communicate data and information effectively with the rest of the team;
Provide market insight both internally and externally in order to increase the awareness of the GSS market and broader sustainable finance themes;
Write thematic articles on ESG research and sustainability issues that can be shared with clients and with the press;
Discuss GSS bonds and wider ESG topics from a sustainability angle with prospective and current investors;
Key Skills required:
Experience in a role with similar responsibilities as described above;
Proven ability to author and publish detailed ESG research;
Good knowledge of the EU Sustainable Finance Action Plan, with particular attention to the EU Taxonomy Regulation;
Good knowledge of GSS bonds and latest sustainable finance trends;
Customer focus to support growth and retention of the overall company;
Proven communication and collaboration skills; Highly organised, adaptable and flexible with the ability to thrive under pressure;
Ability to manage own time effectively and deliver against tight deadlines;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Italian is a plus;
Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, experience in SQL/Phyton database and quantitative analysis is a plus.
